Data Recovery Software- FREE

I have formatted my USB external storage which i was using my backup. I had 5 years of data, my kids and Family pictures, pay statements, Visa documents and so on. I have spent several days to find a real FREE data recovery software that i can use to recover my data from the formatted drive and at last i found one which is completely FREE and can recover data from a formatted drive, in my case my drive was a 500GB Seagate's external USB drive

All other software's are said to be FREE but once we scan the drive and it detects all formatted data it will ask you to buy their software for a complete restore. An average data recovery software will coast you between $25 - $70. At last my research helped me to get a FREE software called Recuva. Recuva can be downloaded from their website and it works like magic. http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download

In my case i restored all my 300GB data from the formatted drive using this software and i am happy. Hence decided to share this with my friends.
